20.01.2013 - Seesen

Hello, today it was very cold again, but we wanted to leave the house. We went to Seesen. It is a city with many windows. You can see the famous places of the city when you look through the windows. We saw the Castle Sehusa through the first window.

Then we met this nice guy. It is Wilhelm Busch – he wrote many famous stories.

All over the city you meet these funny boys. Their names are Max and Moritz.

Through this window you see an old courtyard.

We found an English telephone box – in Germany.

Here you see the church of Seesen.

Look – Max and Moritz from the back side.

The ducks hadn’t much room in the lake anymore.

This museum was really beautiful, wasn’t it?

I loved Max and Moritz as Rockers most.

Seesen is a really beautiful city. Until soon Murph

03.02.2013 - Bad Salzdetfurth

Hello, today we took a long hike. First we saw the miniature golf place of Bad Salzdetfurth.

This is the house where Bine works. It is not really beautiful, is it?

I don’t know where this column is for.

What a beautiful landscape.

There was still some snow!

This house was really nice. It was a witch’s house. The witch wasn’t at home.

Behind me there is the glider airfield of Bad Salzdetfurth. But there weren’t gliders in the wintertime.

Down there I saw my flat. Finally – what a long hike!

Until soon Murph

16.02.2013 - Lamspringe

Hello, it was very foggy today.

It wasn’t very nice in the forest – so we visited the Park of the Abbey Lamspringe. The Lamme starts here.

This is the church of the abbey. Really big!

Criminals got this ring around their neck in the past – and were in the pillory.

In this mill they produced mill for the abbey many years ago.

What a wonderful park!

I found the first flowers this year. Snowdrops! Maybe the spring starts now?

Until soon Murph

23.02.2013 - Derneburg

Hello, the winter is back. It snows all day long. Nevertheless we took a walk.

There is a big castle in Derneburg.

In the forest was a small teahouse.

So many stairs and so much snow – puh…

I love this place.

There were small houses of fishermen next to many small ponds.

It didn’t look like one – but this was one of the fish ponds.

I liked this house.

This region is really beautiful.

Here you can see how far I walked through the snow.

At home we searched a warm place, because we had to get dry again.

Where is the spring time? Greetings Murph

09.03.2013 - Alfeld

Hello, today I visited Alfeld - a small city in Lower Saxony.

This old tower is totally covered. How will it look like in the summertime.

This sculpture is so funny!

This beautiful house is at the market place.

Under the market place a little river is flowing.

This house I liked most.

The ‚heilige Franziskus‘ and the big bell stood next to the church.

Alfeld is a beautiful small town. Until soon Murph

31.03.2013 - Bad Salzdetfurth

Hello, today it is Easter. I wanted to go into the forest, where the Easter bunny lives. But look – snow everywhere.

What should we do? Will the Easter bunny put the eggs into the snow?

We decided to ask Bine, what to do? But look what we found at the door!

There were baskets – and they were empty.

Maybe we can find Easter eggs here? Let’s have a look. Keep your fingers crossed. Wow – an Easter egg.

We found the first eggs. There should be more!

Josie called!

Wow, our baskets were almost full. Dottie’s nose smelt something.

Ui, so many Eastereggs!

I saw something bright. What will it be?

Sofia threw everything into our baskets.

Now all baskets were full. It will be yummy!

Greetings Murph

07.04.2013 - Salzgitter

Hello, finally we saw the sun again. In the forest there was still snow. So we didn’t want to go there. We went to a big lake.

There were some people with water skis on it. Can you see the man behind me?

During our walk around the lake we saw this small pyramid.

On the other side there was a big sandy beach. I wanted to go there!

Eventually we found flowers. Weren’t they beautiful?

What will this be?

What a wonderful beach – in the middle of Lower Saxony. Unfortunately it was too cold to take a sunbath here.

But we took a longer rest here. Coltsfoot at the beach – cool.

Finally it is spring. Soon we will go into the forest and find mushrooms! Until soon Murph

07.06.2013 - Bad Salzdetfurth

Hello, today I showed Bad Salzdetfurth to GustavHH.

It is only a small town, but it has a big church.

This river flew through the whole city.

There are 2 big salines in the spa gardens. The people used it to produce salt in the past.

This is my famous place. It is called Summstein – you sit inside of it and bumble. Then the whole body prickles. Very funny!

I really loved this beautiful fountain.

There were many flowers in the park.

They opened a golf-course here. It is an 18-hole-adventure golf course.

Bad Salzdetfurth is a really nice city.

Until soon Murph

16.06.2013 - Bodenburg

Hello, today I went to a beautiful park.

Behind me you can see the castle.

There was a small pavilion in the park.

The owners of the castle is the family von Cramm. In the Past the famous tennis player Freiherr Gottfried von Cramm lived here.

These old tomb slabs were impressive.

A beautiful lake belongs to the park, too.

Let’s see, what more we can find here.

The Castle at close range.

Surely a lot of friends of Stoker are living here.

These old bonnets look funny, don’t they?

Wow, what a beautiful park!

I would love to live in this Castle!

Sincerely yours Murph

23.06.2013 - Langelsheim

Hello, today we visited a big dam in the Harz Mountains.

Surely we found a lot of beautiful flowers and some mushrooms during our walk. This was the purple foxglove.

And king boletes.

The strawberries were ready for eating. They were so yummy!

A wonderful view over the Innerste. I showed the river earlier in my travel log.

This was a flower that I never saw before: the red helleborine.

Another mushroom  : the hazel bolete

I don’t know this flower, but it was beautiful.

The lake was really large!

Love Murph

21.07.2013 - Derneburg

Hello, it is a hot day today. Nevertheless we took a walk.

There is a big castle in Derneburg.

In the forest was a small teahouse.

So many stairs…

Unbelievable – there exists a pyramid in the forest inside of Germany. It is the grave of the former owner of the castle.

I liked this house.

There were small houses of fishermen next to many small ponds.

It didn’t look like one – but this was one of the fish ponds.

This region is really beautiful.

Greetings Murph

And you find memories of this time everywhere.

10.08.2013 - Hildesheim

Hello friends, Wow – what was this on Bines arm? It looked interesting. A music festival! Imagine that, Bine didn't want to take us with her!

But we convinced her that we should come with her – and here we were! It was the Mera Luna on the airfield of Hildesheim.

There were so many people – and most of them wore black clothes.

We went to the stage – the music started!

Wow – there were really many people!

We urgently wanted to go back to the stage and hear music. It went dark, so we were not able to take more photos – Bine's camera was not able to do it. But we hadn't the time for photos.

What a wonderful event!

Many greetings Murph

17.11.2013 - Hildesheim

Hello, today I visited Hildesheim.

The first stop was the market place with many nice old houses.

This is the „Knochenhaueramtshaus“ – a really famous building.

The next stop was the dome of Hildesheim. It is currently a big construction area. Here is a rose, which is 1000 years old.

Why lives a Hindu God here in Hildesheim?

We don’t know – but his name is Shiva. He is a little bit spooky.

The „Kehrwiederturm“ is the last tower of the old city wall.

In front of a church we found this fountain.

On the way back to the car we found this house. It was rebuilding a few years ago. We didn’t like the location – it does not fit in this place.

But we like the name. Greetings Murph

24.11.2013 - Salzgitter

Hello, we visited a ruin today.

This catapult was really huge.

There was a big wall around the ruin.

We had a great view from the wall. It was the garden of the castle.

You won’t believe. The people had a heating in the past.

The thing with the holes was the heating.

There was a nice view from the tower over the ruin.

Yours Murph

06.12.2013 - Bad Salzdetfurth

Hello, today is Nikolaus Day : the humans put their cleaned shoes in front of the door the night before – and on the 6th of December the Nikolaus came and put sweets into the shoes – if the humas were well-behaved. Unfortunately I don't have shoes – but we searched big ones from Bine and Holgi. These shoes are too small.

But these were great !

They were big enough.

Bad luck for us – the boots were dirty. And the Nikolaus only fills clean boots with sweets. So we searched something to clean them.

And we cleaned one boot.

It looked great...

Ready – now we put the boot in front of the door.

This was exciting – we sat behind the door and wanted to surprise the Nikolaus.

We waited all night long – this was my time to hear what happens!

Well – I heart something!

It worked – the whole boot is full!

But what now? How can we get the sweets? We are so small – and the boot is so big! We pushed togehter – maybe he will fall?

We made it – and so many sweets for us!

We must have been very nice over the year. Happy Nikolaus Murph

14.12.2013 - Hann. Münden

Hello, today we visited Hann.Münden. There was a wonderful town hall.

This tower looked liked a candle - funny, isn't it?

This was the “Weserstein”.

This is the place where the Rivers Werra and Fulda meet to form the River Weser.

A wonderful bridge over the Fulda.

Hann.Münden has a lot of beautiful half-timbered houses.

I really loved the old town gate.

There were some constructions works in front of the castle.

I absolutely wanted to have a photo with this funny guy.

Hann. Münden is really a beautiful town. Many greetings Murph

15.12.2013 - Bad Münder

Hello, today we took a trip to a small spa town near to our home. There was a spa garden with a saline. We were really curious about it . But first some photos from the town.

A beautiful fountain – unfortunately not working – but it is wintertime.

The carillon didn’t work for us, too.

But this girl loved to play with us.

On the way to the spa garden we saw this beautiful house. It would be a nice place to live in.

At the entrance of the spa gardens we found this stage. We sang a wonderful Christmas Song for HoBi. Can you find me?

Finally we found the saline! But what was it? It was so small! The salines in Bad Salzdetfurth are so much taller.

I laughed so much; I was not able to sit calm… Look…

It was beautiful, but….

At the end we found this great tree. How will he look in the summertime with leaves?

A beautiful trip with ugly weather again… Until soon Murph

Hello, today we went to a small wildlife park.

A beautiful lake with many storks…

Many animals – like these funny guys - didn’t want to stay outside, because it was too cold.

These alpacas had enough wool – so it wasn’t cold for them.

These small guinea pigs found a cozy place under the warm lamp.

A funny train.

I love these kangaroos.

Why is this old digger here? Maybe children love playing with it….

Eventually we had sunshine…

…so many budgies…

… these guys were really lazy…

Our last photo for today.

We wish you all merry Christmas! Murph
